Based on feedback we have updated our Shutdown utility described in this post to include a company log. To display the logo, create a jpg, png or bmp files in the same folder as the utility and name it shutdowntool.jpg/png/bmp – simple

great tool – just what i was looking for! i tested it on a few machines and it worked well, however when i started to expand my test group i started noticing a few errors when running (-532459699) and the event logs show the following;

I thought my .net framework was pretty standardised across the network – i’ll double check, but i can’t think of anything else to cause this?

Great Tool, Once minor cosmetic issue: If you are using the shutdowntool.jpg in combination with a long /d: “String” the logo will over lap and hide some of the text.

Also, what size does the image file need to be to prevent scaling? im guessing 50×50 pixels is the exact size?

The exact size of the picture control is 120×50 pixels.
The picture will be scaled down, in the original aspect ratio, to match either size.
